This is our house Old Fashioned. Made with organic heirloom Bloody Butcher red corn, it is one of the most unique expressions of whiskey we have. Against the sweetness of an old fashioned, the Red Corn maintains a particular spice and mineral flavor.
2oz Judson & Moore Red Corn Bourbon
1 dash of Angostura orange bitters
1 bar spoon of 2:1 Demerara syrup
a pinch of Maldon
expressed orange peel
Build your old fashioned in the glass. This particular classic cocktail is meant to change over time, so building in the glass allows for the gradations in flavor as the ice melts and dilutes the bourbon mixture. Pour your ingredients, starting with your smallest amounts, over the ice and stir until there's just a slightest bite of bourbon left.
